Track Day!!

TRACK DAY!!!!

We are going to coordinate a track day with the PCA (Porsche Club of America) and no you do not need to own a Porsche. They have an open venue; as long as your vehicle passes a tech inspection prior to you arriving at the track from one of their approved inspectors. And yes, Total MINI & BMW is one of their approved inspectors.

The host hotel is Colony Inn, 2020 West Dekalb St. Camden, SC 29020 (803) 432-5508 http://camdencolonyinn.com/index.htm The PCA group rate is $75 per night - king, $79 per night - double. It says to mention that you are with the Carolina Region Porsche Club.

You will need your own helmet that is rated as per what the event files state (see event files under the above link).

Let us know if you are interested in going so we can get an accurate count of people interested. Once we do, we will see what we can make happen as far as the cost is concerned. The cost as of right now is $295 for the event but we, the Charleston MINI Club board, are going to work on getting some sponsors to help cover some of the cost for the event. If we are able to work something out with some sponsors, we will apply that towards paid members of the club first, then towards all other members. Keep in mind that you will definitely be responsible for your gas, food, hotel and any tickets you get going there or coming back! ;)
